Biweekly update vol.37, 16th November — 30th November
TL;DR
Hello to the fantastic Humanode community! A lot has happened since the last report, so please spend a few moments for our quick recap.
After 4 public testnets with over 10,000 unique participants starting in 2021, Humanode has launched the highly-anticipated crypto-biometric blockchain network where one human = one node = one vote that brings Sybil resistance and innovative governance models to the crypto industry using biometric technology. Two weeks after launch, Humanode mainnet has just hit ≈300 validators (278 at the time of writing).
The team noticed that some users are facing issues in claiming airdrop tokens. So far, they found out that some users haven’t mapped their addresses while others were facing issues with the mapper, and they contacted the team to resolve it. Currently, the team is working on solving this issue, and rest assured that anyone who participated in the testnet before August 16th and mapped addresses can claim the tokens. So if you are unable to claim the token, please find the form in this report and fill it in with all the details.
The good news is, MathWallet has integrated the Humanode chain and tokens, meaning the MathWallet mobile app will now support the HMND token for ease of use on your mobile phone! Math Wallet is a multi-platform universal crypto wallet that enables the storage of 50+ blockchains and 3000+ tokens and has 60,000+ users. This partnership gives Humanode users and HMND holders a more comfortable experience of holding, sending, and receiving their tokens via mobile apps.
Also, the Interchain Alliance has been formed by Humanode and a group of pioneering blockchain devshops, research teams, DAOs and individuals as a lens to focus the knowledge and experience towards building infrastructure enabling seamless interchain movement of capital, liquidity and communities to their most efficient applications. Beginning as a dream in 2017, put into action in 2020, and 4 public testnets with over 10,000 unique participants starting in 2021, Humanode has launched the first crypto-biometric blockchain network where one human = one node = one vote that brings Sybil resistance and innovative governance models to the crypto industry using biometric technology.

Overall deployment
• Humanode’s Sybil defense is crypto-biometric based, meaning that there is no PoW or PoS. No changes have been made for the mainnet so Humanode is going to be the first network ever to deploy a consensus safeguarded purely by Proof-of-Uniqueness and Proof-of-Existence of human beings.
• By design all human nodes will be equal in terms of validation power.
• At the beginning there is going to be no DAO, cause it’s something that the team is aiming to build, but Proof-of-Time will already be in place calculating uptime and longevity of nodes validating transactions. Check out this article on Vortex to know where the team is going to build.
• The claim is uploaded into the genesis so that all participants of the waves could claim their respective tokens. It is going to be done the very same way as you’ve been doing it on testnet 4. More thorough guides would be provided later.
• Besides the mainnet the team is also going to launch a canary network, a testnet for the mainnet, and a testnet for the canary network to give tools to build some really creative stuff.
• As on Ramiel and Gaghiel consensus mechanism that is utilized is Grandpa + Babe with the hard consistency threshold at 66% + 1, or more specifically a BFT formula of n = 5f + 1, where n — all human nodes and f — malicious nodes.

Testnet 3 “Ramiel” shotdown announcement
This is an important announcement for everyone who is running a node on Testnet 3 “Ramiel.”
The team has decided to shut down Testnet 3 “Ramiel”, which was launched to test the BABE block production engine, GRANDPA for block finalization mechanism, and EVM compatibility. Ramiel will now be considered deprecated, as the team will shut down all the test validator nodes and the provided infrastructure.
However, Testnet 4 is still up and running. So those who want to test run their nodes or deploy apps on the Humanode network should shift to Testnet 4.

The Interchain Alliance has been forged
The Interchain Alliance has been formed by a group of pioneering blockchain devshops, research teams, DAOs and individuals as a lens to focus the knowledge and experience towards building infrastructure enabling seamless interchain movement of capital, liquidity and communities to their most efficient applications.
The Mission is to build a freer world, where communities are not bound by an ideology or technology of any particular network and can efficiently and safely redeploy capital and liquidity carrying their digital wealth and Web3 footprint interchain. The interchain innovation within the industry continues to progress and with it comes the increasing ability for users to imbue themselves and their identities into these networks and so the mission is to ensure continued progress towards a greater crypto ecosystem where users are able to freely move, unbounded.
The first publication is focusing on the mission of the alliance, including its goals and aspirations in both the world of blockchain and beyond is out.
